Need info on buying a house.?

My husband and i are looking at buying our first house. We have found three we love. We have never owned a house only rented different houses for the last five years. We had a repossed car three almost four years ago. How do we get approved for a house mortgage with bad credit. If any one has any suggestions it would help. Also one of the houses we would have to have the money for in two weeks.Need info on buying a house.?
Contact a Mortgage Broker they have access to many lenders for good and not so good credit.

I've read that you go to the bank or mortgage company and tell them what you plan to do and see what they will offer in the way of a mortgage. They may still want you to bring a specific house for them to consider.

Since this is your first house: 1. get advice from your parents if they have bought houses. 2. read up on this online 3. have a lawyer look over the paperwork. Our lawyer found some discrepancy both times we bought. 4. Make your offer contingent on a home inspection. There's no sense committing yourself to buying something for $50,000 or more and trying to save $200 by not getting an inspection. Go through the house with the inspector and listen to everything you are told and ask questions. You'll learn a lot. 5. There are plenty of good houses out there. You do not have to rush to get the money in two weeks. Let that one go. This is a buyer's market. 6. Deal with a realtor. Find one you trust and listen to that person's advice.

It is better not to buy if your finances are at all shaky. Any house you buy, no matter how well made or new, will have things that are wrong with it and a lot of little repairs that will have to be done. Something always stops working once you move in. Instead of rushing, rent cheap and save, save, save. Then go out with a realtor (not agent) and look at loads of houses in your price range. Buy something less than you can afford, a lot less. You have to be able to live a decent life and not be weighted down by a mortgage. Remember, the mortgage company will not wait around for your late payment. Do not buy unless you are in jobs you expect to be able to keep for years and years.

Do not buy because the furniture in the house is cute. It goes with the seller. Make sure you can live comfortably if you break a leg and can't get upstairs or down to the basement, things like that. Try to make as few bad decisions as possible because you will live with them every day until you pay off or sell the house.

Good luck. Home ownership is great but can bankrupt you if you don't think ahead and save.
