Will my boyfriend's bad credit effect my credit when we get married?

My boyfriend and I are planning on getting married next year. However he told me that he lost his home two years ago after he lost his job. Also because of lack of income after unemployment he became behind on his bills. He has found another job and has made arrangements with these creditors, and expects he will have these paid by the end of the year. My question is how would this effect MY credit? If we decide to get a house should we apply for a mortgage jointly? Will my boyfriend's bad credit effect my credit when we get married?
His credit will not affect yours unless you apply for joint credit (like a home) then his bad credit will most likely cause you to be turned down or pay a much higher interest rate.

It will take at least 24-months of good payment history for him to turn his bad credit around and even though he is going to pay off his past bills they will still show as derogatory on his report for 7-years from the date they first went delinquent. Will my boyfriend's bad credit effect my credit when we get married?
Yes it will, one way or another. It will take years for him to get all his issues straightened out, so I would not depend on his credit to buy anything.
Once a loser always a loser. All he needs you for is to pay the bills and let him dump a load in your gash. Hope this helps.
