I have quite bad credit from been young and stupid, From moving out at 17, Not bothering to pay bills, rent, council tax etc etc. I'm now 21, and have a daughter. I have been living with my partner for 2 years but the house is in his name so i couldn't get a reference. I would be able to get a guarantor, my mum. I was just wondering how hard it would be to get a house with bad credit?
Like i said, I have a daughter now. So paying rent, bills etc is not a option, but i doubt having a daughter will change anything in their eyes.
Thanks
:)How hard is it to rent with bad credit?
ohh my gawd its really bad-
my friend tried to and they rejected her everywhere she went.
so ur gonna have to check out lots of houses before someone agrees to rent u the home
and try everything u can to keep ur credit score from falling again. And check out houses that are being rented by its owner because its less complicated and there is no agents involved! you can talk to the owner about ur past and explain that ur not like how u were and that ur making smart choices now. having ur parents back u up is really good though.
p.s: some renters might want more deposit in advance so that u can prove to them ur capable of paying ur rent.

Very, Very, Very, Very, Difficult. Best to borrow money from parents, or have them take out the mortgage, and you pay them back.
These days, it seems like just about everyone is using credit, even prospective landlords. You and I know that just because you miss a few credit card payments doesn't mean you'll skip out on your rent, but your next landlord believes your credit report over your word.
Landlords and apartment complexes are among the many businesses that use your credit to decide whether or not let you borrow money or services. Bad credit can cause you to end up homeless, if you're looking in the wrong places.
Different landlords have different credit requirements. Some might deny your rental application if you have blotchy credit, even if you have a spotless rental history and a sizable salary.
