How do i rent a house without credit or a cosigner?

my best friend and i are turning 18 in a month and getting kicked out. we have no credit and the person we are movin in with has bad credit. our parents wont cosign. how is this possible to find a place to rent?How do i rent a house without credit or a cosigner?
As an owner of rental property, I would look at other aspects if a prospective tenant has no credit. The biggest concern I would have in your case is income. If you have a steady job, preferably for a couple of years, then you should not have too hard of a time. Try to pick a place where the rent is no more than 1/4 of your take-home pay. THE ONLY WAY TO DO THIS IS BY PUTTING A LARGE DEPOSIT DOWN PROBALY.
Try living under and a Freeway over-pass....Just kidding. Man is going to be tough but not impossible. Try a place with lots of vacancies or a brand new,inexperience landlord... That's my best offer... PS. People who mess-up their credit are in for tough times.... Dont be one of them... Hey find a friend with good credit...otherwise the person you all are moving in with will screw-up you all credit, too.
Your best bet is to find an individual who would be willing to work with you. You can usually find someone like that. Just keep checking your local paper or put an ad in yourself explaining your situation. After you get a place try to pay on time and build up your credit. That will give you more options in the future.
