How do you find a home/apartment for rent when you have bad credit, very little rental history, new on job?

Me and my fiance are trying to get on our feet and start fresh in a new town. We have both been at our jobs for about 2 months. Our credit is shot our credit scores are 549-552, with quite a few collections. We need to find a rental in less then two weeks (our house sitting job ends). We do have a co-signer but have yet to find a rental. We also have the money for the deposit and rent. We just need a chance. Any suggestions???How do you find a home/apartment for rent when you have bad credit, very little rental history, new on job?
Many won't rent to people without credit, its too risky.

..BUT, consider offering first %26amp; last months rent in advance,

or some type of security deposit.

.... consider using a realator or apartment finder, finding people

places to live is what they do.

.... Ask around at work, the locals know places that new commers to town don't.

They want to rent without any risk... they want to be businessman's and not to risk... trust me if i want to f...k them and not to pay them some rent i will definitely do it and NONE of those ';credit history checks'; will not help them out
