How do I get financed to buy a house with bad credit?

We are trying to buy our first home. In the past 5 yrs we havent had great jobs so our credit is VERY bad. Now we are stable both working great paying jobs and have been for a year now. But because of past credit issues we are having problems getting financed even with a larger down payment. We would like to buy a home within the next 3 months. Were do I even get started ? Are there any finance companies that specialize in loans for ppl trying to turn their lives around? HELP!!!!!!!How do I get financed to buy a house with bad credit?
With bad credit and only being on your stable jobs for a year, you are not going to get financed. You can keep looking, but, the fact is, lenders are not taking chances on sub prime borrowers right now.
